Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School

Brief History

Fr. Agnel Ashram was founded in June 1979 on a 16-acre plot of land in Verna, a picturesque village near Margao-South Goa.

The Agnel Technical Education complex consists of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Agnel Polytechnic & ITI, Agnel Institute Of Food Crafts & Culinary Sciences, Padre Conceicao Community College, Agnel Entrepreneurship Development Institute and Fr. Agnel Multipurpose High School.

The Complex is named after the Ven. Fr. Agnelo. It aims at fostering love and understanding among the people of various communities of India, contributing towards India’s development and making the people self reliant.

The year 1989 witnessed the birth of Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, under the inspiring and able leadership of Complex Manager, Late Rev. Fr. Anselm D’sa. The students enrolling here, could opt for Vocational studies or Science stream. The first batch of students passed out in the year 1991.

The Vocational stream of studies has an interesting combination of courses-Computer studies, Electronic Technology, Maintainance & Repairs of Electrical & Electronic Domestic Appliances. The Higher Secondary has greatly excelled in Academics and in sports with boys and girls participating in many Indoor as well as Outdoor games, like Athletics, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Handball, Table Tennis, etc.
