Activities for the academic year 2025 – 2026
Self defence program
A self defence program was held on 24th September 2025 to celebrate NSS day by the NSS volunteers of Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna. The NSS volunteers trained the girl students of standard IX in the school auditorium. The Alumni of the Higher Secondary Ms Sheikh Iqtefa Karol was the resource person for the training program.
Patriotic Singing Competition
As a part of Independence Day celebration the NSS unit organised Patriotic singing competition on 14th August 2025 in the school auditorium. This was an interclass competition which was won by XI commerce A and the Runners Up were XII Science B. The judges for the competition were Mr. Leonov Vasco Da Gama and Mr. Vinodkumar D. Painginkar.
Fire Safety session
The N.S.S. volunteers of Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna attended a fire safety session on 9th August 2025 organised by the Security incharge Mr. Pramod Naik. Students had a hands on experience handling the fire extinguisher and also learnt how to handle the water hydrant system at PCCE.
Installation Ceremony
The installation ceremony of NSS, YRC and Student Council was held on 15th July 2025. NSS Program Officers Mr. Jason B Rebello and Mrs. Ramya Shetty along with NSS Volunteers from XI and XII Commerce, Vocational stream took the oath. The report of the NSS activities of the academic year 2024-25 and planner for academic year 2025-26 was read by Ms. Sita Singh of XI Commerce B during the installation ceremony.
Tree Plantation Drive
A tree plantation drive was carried out by the NSS Volunteers in collaboration with the PWD Department Fatorda on 17th June 2025 along the highway outside the Agnel Technical Complex. The Director of Agnel Technical Complex Rev. Fr. Agnelo Gomes, the Manager of Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Rev. Fr. Vicky Hilario, the Principal Mr. Bruno Carvalho and Vice Principal Mr. Vivek Rodrigues along with PWD incharge Mr. Rajesh Gaude intiated the drive.
